About
Fourteen years ago, fresh out of the Academy of Fine Arts
in Munich I found myself sitting in a room in Brooklyn with
very few tools and a lump of wax. Over the course of two
years I created a shoebox full of waxes that I later
had cast in silver and bronze and became part of Bavarian
Voodoo. An exploration into the myth, folklore and customs
of supernatural
healing in the southern German region of Bavaria and the
northern Alps. Several of the galleries I have been working
with suggested at the time to have the pieces produced as
an edition. I did not like the idea then but obviously I
have changed my mind. Good things take time…
Be well
